I think that a lot of the time, couples try too hard to be like every other couple. Or an individual in the relationship would try to do the ‘cute things’ they’d see and a lot of the time, it ruins the relationship. The individuality of each relationship is what makes it special. Don’t get me wrong, the typical roses and things such as are rightfully desireable. But it’s just when couples try to be what they aren’t. One thing I’ve learned is, celebrate the differences. To do what makes you two work, not what would make people think you guys work. There shouldn’t be this imaginary guide book for the ‘ideal relationship’. Ideal bullshit, in the end, the only thing standing is the reasons why you two were something else other than the ‘ideal’.
